Title:  Introduction to Equine-Assisted Learning & Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy

Purpose:

The purpose of this 6-unit Continuing Education workshop is to introduce attenders to Equine-Guided Learning.

Are you ready for a change in your practice? Are you open to exploring an alternative method to address the issues holding your clients back from moving forward in this life and fulfilling their purpose and/or dreams?

If so, come with me and experience what horses have to offer as they assist hurting souls on their personal journey. Horses nonjudgmental sensitivity to energy and body language allows them, with the assistance of a guide/facilitator, to mirror back to us our truths. This allows clients to see, and discover/uncover, what is in their way and holding them back. Self-discovery is powerful and opens the door for change and transformation.

Course Description:

There is a growing body of research which shows interactions with horses can have a significant therapeutic impact and benefit for people. Horses are being used in many areas such as work with autistic children, veterans, youth at risk, recovery from abuse and addiction, cancer survivors, grief and loss, depression, helping children who do not learn in a traditional school setting achieve grade appropriate skills, just to name a few. These are only the tip of the iceberg!!! Horses have so much to offer the human race.

All work will be done from the ground.

No previous horse experience neccesary.
